Moda a Firenze

Well, it seems we survived yesterday's zombie infestation, although reportedly pirategirleee has been left with a craving for sweet breads.

Must give her my Mom's recipe for sesos lampreados con salsa, which is breaded brains with salsa.

Yum!

(A side dish of beans is optional, but I wonder if it is safe to eat those given yesterday's kerfufel.)

And speaking of zombies, go check brainsargh's journal. It's really funny, and has a very unique take on the 2007 Zombie Invasion.

On other news, my "Moda a Firenze" book finally arrived from Italy, safe and sound from zombies, although with some suspicious drool all over it.

Nevertheless, since we are talking "Moda a Firenze" here, I cannot really blame zombies on the drooling on the book. In fact, I must confess that I have done some drooling of my own, and I haven't even eaten bad beans or had any sesos lampreados in years.

Hmmmm . . . now I am having a craving for some of those.

Brainzzzz????

I think I've discovered a new user-group for my company - the zombie housing and office market. And I can use my zombified protege as a test member of the target audience! I wonder if my bosses will thank me before she eats their brains . . . .

That is the most amazing book since Janet Arnold's "Queen Elizabeth's Wardrobe Unlock'd." For real.

IMO better (at least in some ways) -- and not just because I do Italian -- all the pictures are in color for one thing. There's not as much detail in some areas as QEWU, but it covers a much smaller time span. There aren't as many extant items either. It would be a toss-up.
