I have always been a big Ben Affleck fan. After last Friday, I am definitely more so. He was absolutely awesome, his commencement address had us all in tears, and the kids were thrilled.
This is a graduation ceremony that no one will forget any time soon.
On other news, I have finally ordered my camera. It is a Canon PowerShot Pro Series S3 IS 6MP with 12x Image Stabilized Zoom. It seems to have everything I need, has got great reviews, and it is within my budget.
I can't wait till it arrives . . .
University was hot but fun. Apparently the site turns off the A/C during the weekend, and we could all feel it.
The first order of business that morning was for me to run the Pearl meeting, since the Greta would not be able to attend. Everything ran pretty smoothly, and we covered a lot of ground in only one hour. (Hey, I didn't even have to bring my whip out!)
I was a bit bummed that I could not take Dante's Capo Ferro class. I hear that it was pretty good, and Marcellus tells me that he'll be working with me on some of the moves. That certainly makes me feel happier.
Luckily, I was able to take Alina's class on the history of the epidemics during the Middle Ages. It was one of the most comprehensive, well prepared, and entertaining classes I have ever attended. Her medical background certainly helps, but it was her ability to keep a class entertained that did the trick. I would certainly take another Alina class again.
I also got to take the Siege MIT class. Jonathas did a great job with that, and it did help to refresh my marshall knowledge.
It was also great to see Perronelle and Guinevre get their Pearls. They both rock and they both deserve it. Congratulations to both!.
Today, I had fun with costuming. Helped Alina fit a doublet, and we discovered that we wear the same size, which helped a lot. After she left, I went ahead and added the second guard to my pink dress.
It seems that the more I look at that dress, the more stuff I want to do with it.
That only means that I'd better start with another one, or I will never finish fiddling with this one . . .
And that's it for now.
There is a good book waiting for me . . .
