Spring Cleaning

"So, Your Excellency. What is the Ponte Alto contingency plan for rain at Bloodbath?"

"The usual. We sacrifice chickens and pray it doesn't rain till the event is over."

KFC does it again. For the third year in a row we enjoyed gorgeous weather at St. Paddy's Day Bloodbath, as opposed to fighting in the snow/ice and/or the freezing cold.

Thank God for small favors.

Heck, I even got the chance to jump into the bear-pit line and get some bouts in before going back to performing "Pretty, Pretty Baroness" duties.

The best part? I got to fight with my heavier rapier blade and did not even feel my arm tired. In fact, my control was just as good if not better than with my lighter one.

Sunday was an incredibly productive day. I cleaned the porch, removed the remaining leaves that had been accumulating since the fall, and swept the entire thing clean.

Poor Carlos is all freaked out since now it looks like the entrance to somebody else's house. If it weren't because there is no sunlight in there, I would put some planters with nifty flowers too.

Oh, well.

I did have the best intentions to play with webpages as well. Alas, that was not to be. It was just the sort of gorgeous day that screamed "Go play outside!" at me, so I decided to clean my car instead.

Oh, the surprises you find when you clean your car! So far, I found the following:

  • My favorite pair of tweezers that had been lost since 2005;
  • My favorite Spanish Peacock awl, which I had given up for dead since January 2006;
  • Assorted batteries;
  • A mystery visor cap (so far, no one has claimed possession of that one);
  • My long-lost Kill Bill II CD (So that's where you went!)
  • One brand new roll of film (Kodak); and
  • A spare Nintendo 64 controller (????!!!!)

    It feels like Christmas in July.

    Oh, wait! It's March!

    Maybe the Easter Bunny is leaving me early presents!

    Now, if I could only find the time to get my poor car to the car-wash, I would be a happy woman.

    Cool beans! A clean car is kinda refreshing to the soul. (Not to mention it smells better too!) ;-)

    MMM. My little red bomber is really crying for a bath and a good vaccuuming! The parking lot at our building is so badly deteriorated, we track tons of pebbles and sand into the car, and with a black interior it's really noticeable. May have to run down to the car wash later on...
