My guardian angel was working overtime yesterday, and I am very grateful for it.

Since last December life has been very hectic and I think that the lack of sleep, exhaustion, and stress galore finally caught up with me.

To make a long story short, yesterday, while picking up Carlos from work, I got distracted, ran a red light at a major street and crashed with a car that had the green light and was trying to turn. Luckily nobody was hurt and, since neither of us were speeding, there was no major damage to either car.

So okay, there was damage, but not that bad. My car's bumper got scratched and out of sync and so did the other driver's. Plus the other driver's car got a broken headlight and was leaking water. We are hoping that it was the windshield wiper water deposit, as we could not see any damage to the radiator. Keep those fingers crossed!

Because there was no problema with whose fault it was -- heck, I knew it was mine! -- there were no injuries and it was not a major accident, no police report was filed. Even better, since both of us have the same car insurance, the insurance company has contacted me and the claims will be processed with no fuss and as a no fault accident.

I was also very relieved that the couple in the other car were very pleasant and understanding about the whole thing. Heck, the guy even hugged me and said "No problem. It was an accident."

Thank God for small favors.

Needless to say, by the time we made it to the Baronial business meeting, I was having trouble staying awake. So if I sounded kind of *blergh* now you know why.

I will have another -- happier -- posting later with my KASF report.

And now, back to the drawing board . . .

Oh my gosh. If that had happened to me, I seriously doubt I would have been at the meeting. I'd probably be in the tub, rocking back and forth. Are you feeling okay? No soreness or anything?

Nothing at all, thank goodness. But I was very shaken by the whole thing.

Oh dear, it seems yesterday was a day for auto related problems. I backed into an SUV leaving Target yesterday! Luckily no damage and no injuries here. I feel for you!!!

*hugs*

You know? A co-worker was just telling me that he too got into some car related ickyness. It must have been the Lunar eclipse or something.

I hope everything is fine with you!

That sounds like a possibility!

Aside from Eamonn getting totally stressed over a bump that did not even trade paint, we're good. *sigh* :)

I'm so glad you are OK and no major damage was done. Stress can do that to your concentration, and I hope you can get the rest you need. I'm looking forward to you KASF post - I haven't entered anything seriously in a long time and really can use ideas and pointers.

Thank you! I will probably be posting on that today, and I may even have a second posting dedicated to KASF pointers. In the meantime, you may want to look at my handout on Conquering the A&S Competition which is posted online. :-)

If you have any questions, or if I can help in any way, do not hesitate to drop me a note ;-)

I'm glad you're ok. Try to get some rest or at least a nice massage.
