I have finally started work on my nifty coif.

I must say, I am sure that I will spend hours and hours of fun with it, the outline part being the fastest one while the filling in probably taking forever. However, it is the only way I can sit in front of a tv set and watch an entire show.

Well, almost a whole show, and most of it was re-runs of Harry Potter. So there.

Anywhoo, I employed my weekend mostly a) hassling Carlos so he would practice for his ACT test; b) doing lots of laundry; and c) playing with embroidery and websites. I have come to the realization that I am a homebuddy at heart.

At any rate, in my book, hassling your kids is an acceptable sport. Particularly when it comes to preparing for tests. This was one of Carlos' phone conversations on Saturday:

Friend of Carlos: "So Carlos, wanna go see a movie tonight?"

Carlos looking at me (and I am glaring): "No, Mom says that my ass belongs to her this weekend. Gotta practice for the ACT test."

Ahhhh, the joys of motherhood!

And now, back to the Salt Mines.
