Yes, it may be rainy and cold and dreary, but it is the sweet anticipation of a long weekend and a get together with friends that makes it special.
(Which reminds me, I need to go and pick up a couple of pumpkin pies from the Heidelberg Bakery.)
(I make some mean upside-down pinneaple cake, but pumpkin pies are best left to other people.)
For the past couple of years, we have enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner in the company of friends, and it has become some sort of tradition to have it at La Casa de Marcellus and Belphoebe. And we like it that way.
But I can't wait to go home and start getting everything ready for tomorrow.
I am also looking forward to this four day break for working on projects. I am currently full of ideas, and can't wait to begin working on them. The creative juices are begging to flow freely and must not be denied.
But wait! There's more! To make my Thanksgiving weekend more fully satisfactory, I have booked a pedicure on Saturday at my favorite salon and my tootsies are tingling with anticipation. I must say, pedicures are one of my favorite ways of pampering as they can be as heavenly -- if not more heavenly -- than regular, full body massages.
Plus, I have the philosophy that happy feet make for a happy day.
(No relation to the movie.)
Mmmmmm . . . pedicure . . .
I feel positively decadent . . .
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Gobble, gobble!
