Too much fun

Yesterday was entirely too much fun.

It begun at 6:00 a.m., when ballistabob, pirategirleee, El Brato and myself left for the VCU open house. As many of you probably know, El Brato will be graduating from High School next spring (he'd better!), and we are currently doing the College rounds.

We actually liked it very much, and they have a very good Criminal Justice program. Yes, I know that Carlos has expressed an interest in film studies. On the other hand, he already has two years of Criminal Justice credit in his curriculum, and it is the only subject that he has consistently aced in his entire life. He feels that this will be a good match, and we tend to agree. After all, he can always incorporate film and photography in his electives if he so desires.

Once we were done with the College visit, we headed up for Crown Tourney where arrived at around 2:00 p.m., just in time to find out that there were two fighters undefeated, and a four-way tie to advance from those who were not.

At any rate, the semi-finals and the finals were an amazing show of skill which could only be described as a nailbiting affair, as exciting as watching the World Cup.

In the end, the day belonged to Valharic and Arielle. They make an incredibly sweet couple and I don't think that there was a dry eye at Court when he made her his Princess.

And speaking of Court, it was a lot of fun. HRM was in rare form and kept everyone in stitches and Anneke looked lovely in braids (courtesy of the amazing Elspet). I was also really tickled to see Eadric the Potter get his writ for his Laurel. Not only is he a very nice guy, but his pottery is museum quality. I can't wait for him to have his vigil and his ceremony with all the pomp and circumstance he deserves.

And now, back to doing laundry. My socks are doing a little tap dance in the living room along with ballistabob's. If I am not careful, they will end up being featured in "Dancing with the Stars" next Tuesday. (Not that I would mind our socks to make their way in life, but I'd rather wear them on my feet, thankyouverymuch.)

Belfebe out.
