Yeah, I had said that I would take a couple of weeks off from costuming, after the Neverending Dress for Cat.
Alas, it was not to be.
All of a sudden, I had an epiphany and figured out exactly how I wanted to make my dress. (Plus I want a new gown for KASF). Hence, the order from Denver Fabrics.
And speaking of KASF. I am really torn between entering or not in the Persona Pentathlon.
Last year I promised to myself that I would dedicate all year to work on that so, by the time KASF 2006 happened, I would have this kickass array of stuff and documentation ready. Instead, I spent most of my year in other unrelated -- albeit fun and quite educational -- projects, with the result that I don't know if I have what I really need to enter said competition.
What can I say? I am easily disctracted. Particularly if an interesting dress -- or gloves, or whatever -- is involved. Whether for myself or someone else doesn't matter. As soon as I find a nifty project, I go into ferret shock.
At any rate, I will be making my nifty silk gown for KASF. If I finish it on time, I may even enter it. If not, well, there is always next year.
And of course, I will be crashing the performing competition.
Rehearse, rehearse, rehearse.
No rest for the wicked.
