Project Runway goes to Pennsic

Well boys and girls, I won't give you a full blown account of last night's cracktastic episode of Proyect Runway. I am just swamped today.

However, I will share with you Anya's spectacularly awful design. Doesn't it remind you of a Pennsic T-tunic sewn in a hurry? Heck, the Bored Housewife sells better ones in her little stall every wear.

Oh, and the pants busted in the back. Wonderful example of craftsmanship, I say.

The girl will, however, be in the finals. Mark my words.

Ahhhh, I can hear the beating of the doumbeks and the smell of the firepit...

I can't wait till August.

Did you catch when Heidi walked onto the runway at the very beginning, and tugged a little on her short skirt? She'd have had their head for a model having to do that!

I didn't catch that, but I bet that the Kluminator was not amused!

The places at Pennsic where I stock up on off-the-rack T-tunics, would fire an apprentice who made something like that monstrosity.

It might work, though, for Bog wear. Maybe.

[ETA] Or, with five or six layers of longjohns, Frostburn (Can you say "Camping at Cooper's Lake in Februrary", boys and girls? I knew you could.).

I'm so glad that Oliver is out. His snarky comments on plus-sized people had my teeth grinding.

No one did particularly well on this challenge, but there were individual garments that were great like Viktor's jacket and Joshua's shirt. I liked Laura's overall look, but on a different person -- perhaps the drummer. And, I liked Bert's Viking hippie look.

Of course she's going to be in the final. She's *pretty* and this is TV. And, don't forget that edgy haircut that gives her street cred.

I find this season to be particulary uninspiring. Not only are most of these designers mediocre, it doesn't seem like anyone likes anybody. Or even dislikes anybody. They all seem emotionally indifferent to each other. The only things they can manufacture drama from are Bert's cranky old man behavior and the other guy's (or should I say drama queen's) blinding white teeth and perpetually raised eyebrows.

And yeah, I did catch Heidi's tug on her skirt. I was surprised they didn't edit that out.
