DWTS Weekly Death Pool

Okay boys and girls, here is the weekly (or sort of weekly) DWTS Death Pool.

And here is my take from last night:

Nicole and Derek: Really good, but then, it's difficult to get invested on someone when you know that she's a ringer. I would still like to see more of them, but puhleeze, don't tell me that Derek is being a genius teacher. It doesn't take much to teach a professional dancer to dance. On the other hand, Derek is one genius choreographer. Always awesome to watch. I threw one vote at them.

Evan and Anna: I think that they should at least have gotten the same score as Nicole and Derek, but such is life. They were adorable and it was a great routine. Voted for them.

Jake and Chelsie: Jake, for crying out loud put some pants on!!! And no, you don't look like Tom Cruise!!! Enough already!!!

Erin and Maksim: It would have been much better if (Sexy) Maks had not wasted so much time reading the menu. You know that Len doesn't like that. Why tempt the old man? On the other hand, teasing him is soooooo tempting ... Hmmmm.... Maks ....

Pamela Anderson and Damian: Say anything you want, this woman is amazing. I don't know what she does, but it's like she turns on the magic, and magic happens. The other thing that I like about her is that she seems to be the only one not arguing with her coach. She may not be as talented as Evan or Nicole, but she'll do what she needs to do. She may be the dark horse in the competition, if she doesn't land in the bottom again. She has most of my votes.

Niecy Nash and Louis: If you want to talk about a talented teacher, there is Louis van Intensité. Training Nicole is no biggie. Making Kelly Osborne into a great dancer and nearly win, that takes talent. He's doing what he can with Niecy, who is a hoot, but I am not sure that she'll be able to stay in the competition if she doesn't do what she needs to do. But she may surprise us. (Go jiggly parts!)

Chad Ochocinco and Cheryl: Dear Chad. More dancing, less flirting. You are really sucking and it's not Cheryl's fault. You're so desperate to get into her pants that you're not doing anything interesting on the dance floor. Boy, I miss Emett Smith.

Kate Gosselin and Tony: Free Tony! That is all.

Note I didn't see the whole show and didn't see Niecy dance. I'm just guessing based on the premise that Kate's Hideous fans will prevent her from leaving.

I agree. I have the horrible feeling that she may live to dance another day. There is a part of me that wishes she could root for her (single mom anyone?), but she sucks so badly that I cannot.

Last night I was home for a change and wished that I had any TV reception so I could watch DWTS. Tonight I'll watch last night's show on the web.

Do you watch the results shows? I watched most of them last season and have been skipping them this season. While I wouldn't mind seeing some of the various performances, I don't have patience for the results drama and the website doesn't have a good fast-forward feature.

I usually do. The skits have gotten really good, and the guest dancers are better than last year's. If you have a chance to watch it, it's worth it.

OK, saw Monday's show.

Niecy Nash seems to be doing the low-impact version of the dance.

Mr. Ochocinco lost some of the posture he had picked up last week. I still get the feeling he's trying to be at Cheryl's height out of respect (or maybe it's lust) for her.

Erin & Maks were fun in performance, but geez, the rehearsals. Also, I think they are both made 90% of legs.

I didn't like Jake and Chelsea as much as the judges did. It's not that it was bad, but it felt that he wasn't dancing quite as much as she was throughout.

I totally love Pamela. Part of it is that she isn't arguing with her pro, but last week's rumba was AMAZING, and this week was elegant which was surprising for that music and that costume. Maybe next week I'll vote for her before I watch next week's show.

Kate's dancing reminds me of the old ladies at the end of Dirty Dancing, but not quite that good. But Bruno's comments? LOVE!

Nicole and Derek were good, but we kinda expect that.

That horrid rehearsal space they were in was in my hometown, wonder where they were. Poor Evan. But he gets to dance with Anna, who I have a HUGE crush on, so I hope they make it to the final show so I can watch her lots.

Oh, yeah. Anna is fabulous. The reviewer at Entertainment Weekly calls her Anna Tre-BUN-skaya. I do hope that she and Evan win. And I can't believe that Pam Anderson was in the bottom two! Gah!

While I don't think Kate is going to go, I can at least hope.

Well, apparently the Gods of Dancing were listening last night, and Kate's fans were foiled. Bwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
