This week saw us, along with a bunch of Ravenstreeters and friends, chilling at the beach, at a house we had rented (there were 18 of us!). During this time, I acquired two new vices: playing pool and hang gliding. It is so much fun! We also had the chance to enjoy some of our favorite movies and shows (Casablanca, Dr. Horrible's Singalong Blog, and even Dancing with the Stars) in the house's media room, which is actually a mini-movie theater. And thanks to the wonderful duchesssimone, we even got to watch an awesomely kitschy Bollywood movie called Bride and Prejudice, which is a comedic take on Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice". You have not lived until you have seen Bollywood dancing involving a Mexican Mariachi band. 'Nuff said.
I also got to go with psalite on an excursion to photograph wild horses. It was awesome. Here is the link to the pictures. Psalite and I are already planning on going back in May, when the horses actually go to the beach, and try some new shoots there. I can't wait!
Walks with Simone on the beach, running with ballistabob, working out with allasondrea and Franchesca, swimming in the pool, and hang gliding with Tash, not to mention playing pool with everyone, took care of my fitness concerns (and I think that the funniest pool matches involved Livia and me, but that's a subject for another post). Who said that the beach is a place to do nothing?
Last but not least, I had the chance to play with my cameras, and even to get some decent shots. Here's the link to the pics.
We are already talking about doing this again next year. I am looking forward to that.
