Empty nest? What empty nest?

Yesterday, the boys moved out -- El Brato to an apartment that he will share with his brother and a friend, and the Borrowed One with another friend while he waits for his paperwork to join the Marines.

Is this what an empty nest feels like?

I am excited for all of them!

Now, what are we going to do with all the space that we have downstairs?

I see several trips to the hardware store for paint, and then some recarpeting of the whole basement.

Hmmmmm ...

Of course, the last thing I heard from El Brato last night was "What's for dinner tomorrow?"

I have the suspicion that we'll see more of him now that he's moved out than when he was at home. Especially at supper time.

I'll take that.
