Kudos to Texas

I seldom post links to articles, but this one really touched me. Texas DNA exonerees find prosperity after prison.

While I don't think that there is any money that can pay for the unjust loss of your freedom for a crime you did not commit, at least this is a start. I like the fact that they are doing it now in annuities and providing financial advise to the exonerees. And by doing this, perhaps the system will be more careful in the future. Mistakes like this will cost them a lot of money.

But kudos to Texas. Hopefully other states will follow suit.
