Death-Neil Gaiman

Museums, Gloves and KASF

Well, I got word back from the Museum of Costume in Bath, regarding my questions on the gloves collection they are housing for the Worshipful Company of Glovers.

The bad news is, they could not respond to my questions. The good news is, they gave me a referral for a book and they told me that they would be happy to book an appointment for me, next time I go to England, to go and privately examine gloves by myself.

(So okay, the book is for 18th Century gloves, but it has patterns and hopefully there will be some general information that I can use.)

(For those curious about patterns, I have yet to find a glove pattern published in the 16th Century. I am not sure at this point this beastie even exists. We shall see.)

I have now fired an email to the Worshipful Company of Glovers. I figure that if I keep poking around, I will get some of the answers I need.

Preparation for KASF is going full steam. I am still typing like mad in order to finish with my documentation. Projects are very much finished, except those that are not. By that I mean the cooking project, which I am fixing tonight.

(Oh! And let's not forget practicing the piece I am planning to sing at the performing competition. Is there no end to this madness?)

(Wait. Don't say it!)

What is not finished is the documentation for two of the projects and the song. That cannot be rushed, so it will keep me entertained from here till Friday.

Heck, I haven't even had a chance to pay that much attention to American Idol! The inhumanity!

I am also hoping to update my documentation for Wilhelmina. I am not sure if I will have time for that but I will do what I can.

And now, going home.

Hmmmm . . . sweet home . . .
