Thank god is Thursday.

That means that tomorrow is Friday and I've been waiting for that since Monday.

Of course, I wish it were Saturday. To the rest of the world Saturday is Coronation. To us, FFG'rs, Saturday is De-Coronation Day (congrats duchessrachel!). There will be much celebrating and rejoicing, a Free Scholar prize will be played, and much fun will be had by all.

In regards to rapier and A&S, I have concluded that I can do both after all. Thank god for Magic Points Tourneys. I will be able to go, poke at some people until 1:30 p.m., and then go judge embroidery at the Tempore Atlantia. It is not like I am vying for the post of Queen's Rapier Champion anyway so losing points don't bother me at all. Can't get much better than that.

And speaking of A&S, I am still working on the corded petticoat for the French Gown of Insanity. For the record, I love Fuji Broadcloth for this purpose. Not only it is a period material (silk), but it is also nice and firm and has just the right kind of "body" for this type of thing. I can't wait until I start cording it. (I also dread it, but what the heck. Bring in the rope!)

I don't know if I am making rapier practice tonight. It all depends how I feel tonight. It's been a hard week and I don't know whether I will want to deal with it by poking at people or by staying home and chill. We'll see.

And for those of you who follow American Idol, I must admit that some of the best recaps I've read have come from . . . gasp . . . Vote For The Worst. They are also hysterically funny.

The most amazing thing is that Vote For The Worst predicted that the bottom three would be Lisa, Ace and --shockingly -- Katharine who is usually pretty good. They were right on the money.

Oh, Lisa, you were not as magnificent in your suckiness, but suck you did and now you are gone.

I really wish Kellie were next.
