Yes, boys and girls, after saving for this for a while, and after realizing that I had overbudgeted for other things, I found out last week that I could indeed afford to buy my coveted Nikon D90 after all.
So now there she is, waiting for me at my dining room table till I come home.
She is glorious.
Now I just need to figure out how to use all of the fun features.
Oh, yeah.
So this weekend was awesome.
It got even more cool when I got a text from someone saying "Are you at the National Cathedral?" I said "Oui, who are you?" as I did not recognize the number. "Look at the center, two rows behind the kilts. Me and my Dad are kirking it."
And sure enough, there she was, the awesome
In the end, we did take a bunch of pics there, but it was with my trusty little Canon since I did not pick up the Nikon till Sunday afternoon. And that not before swinging by Moving Through Time, where I did manage to take a picture of a Lansknecht guy driving a tractor and hauling a Civil War canon. How cool was that?
And having breakfast with my Dark Child that morning really made my weekend.
But now, it's back to the Salt Mines.
It's Monday and there's lots left to do.
I can't wait to go home and play with my new toy!
