It's Monday!

I love Angelina Jolie.

I love Angelina Jolie making movies.

Angelina Jolie making movies by my office, on a Monday, at rush hour? Not so much.

Getting my butt over here was more of an adventure than it usually is, given the traffic jams around here.

Oh, well.

In other news, I have a question for Spanish fashion lovers. Was I dreaming or the Carmen Bernis book "El traje y los tipos sociales en el Quijote" was at one point re-published? Or is it only available through inter-library loan?

(Yes, I am looking at you, dona_violante and tattycat.)

I have been looking online, but I haven't been able to find it.

Last but not least, KASF was awesome, and I will be posting pictures soon.

Now, back to the salt mines.

I can hear the whip cracking.

Did you get to see Her Jolie-ness? It sounded like DC was a mess this morning.

Sadly, no. But I did get to proudly get sucked into the Jolie traffic mess. I guess it counts for something, LOL.

Wowee, I looked up the book you mentioned and found one "like new" used copy for $215, plus shipping from Spain. I see why you're hoping for a re-issue.

I know. I doubt that it's been re-issued, but one can only hope.

BTW, it's not a reprint - it was just published in 2001. I had my copy at KASF. I wish I had known you were interested in looking at it!

Now, the book I want to see republished is Bernis' _Indumentaria Medieval Española_, but I doubt that will happen anytime soon.

I know . . .

I am just very excited to have new sources for my research, that I hadn't tapped before. Especially since they are in Spanish. Yay!

Awesome. I had only found a French site with a similar price. The rest are even more expensive. A Spanish site is much more convenient. (At least I understand for sure what they're telling me!)

I bailed off 66 onto 29/Spout Run, and cut through Rosslyn.

Smart move. Sadly, I work on 19th & Constitution. There was nowhere I could go without running into the jam.

It is a new book recently published ;)

Try artbooks.com Violante ordered hers thru Casa del Libroand cancelled the order after waiting a month.....seems they never really have it in stock. artbooks.com is slightly more expensive, $195.00, but you don't have to do the euro conversion, he speaks English and.....oh yea, actually has the book

Will do. Mainly, it is 16th Century Spanish fashion. Really cool.

Jolie is in town?! Probably for one of her humanitarian thangs - she NEVER answers my calls....

Imagine that! LOL.

Actually, she was filming "Salt," her latest action flick. It was really cool. (Though it made for some unproductive gawking time for a number of us.)
