The truth be said, when it started, it was quite funny. Nowadays it seems to be just a forum for people to rant about whatever is rankling them, or about real or imaginary slights. Life is too short to spend it on negativity.
(Heck, the Merry Rose is bad enough, thankyouverymuch.)
Repeat with me: Ohmmmmm . . .
In other news, last night my body decided to go on strike.
Yes, boys and girls, I got home and felt so tired and sleepy that I missed rapier practice. Moreover, I went to bed at 8:30 p.m. and woke up at 6:30 a.m., missing my spinning class in the process. (Ten hours of sleep. Can you imagine?)
But today I feel refreshed and like a million bucks.
This can only mean that I will hit the gym with even more gusto next time, since I feel better now.
In fact, I think I'll go for a walk.
Oh, wait! I already went for a walk!
At any rate, in other non-related oversleeping news, I am seriously considering enrolling for a Master's degree. I found this really kickass program from the University of Granada, in Spain, which really rocks, and which relates directly to what I am currently doing. Moreover, it is all online, which helps a lot. Some people have told me that online programs are tougher than in-person ones, since you need to have the self-discipline to organize your work, and because there is a lot more writing which involves a lot more time.
In that regard, I am not concerned about self-discipline. In fact, I can function better on my own, and I can express myself much better in writing than verbally. So that is not an issue. However, I am perfectly aware that this is an intensive 18 month program, and that it will make an impact on my day-to-day activities. But there's no helping it.
I am still researching other programs, but so far I have fallen in love with this one. The topic is awesome, it relates directly to what I am doing, it meets all of the conditions for our tuition reimbursement program, and I currently have the means to do it.
The program starts in April, and the deadline for application is March 30. However, the next cycle begins in October so I still have time to get my ducks in a row in case I am not ready for a decision right now.
I am excited.
