Thursday Ramblings

Getting ready for the ride to Pennsic tomorrow. Then we return on Sunday, rinse, repeat. We make it back the following Saturday.

My banded stola is coming around very nicely. It feels good to have something that is flattering, comfortable, and fits. I have also finished two white tunicas out of 3.5 oz linen, so that will be quite cool. My only concern is that the linen I ordered will arrive on time for my other two stolas and pallas.

Here's to hope.

At any rate, Project Runway was entertaining last night, although I have to say that last season's bunch was a lot more endearing and probably more talented. Anywhoo, although I did like Suede's winning dress, I still think that Kenley was robbed. On the other hand, I can certainly understand why he won. His dress involved a lot more work than Kenley's, but I still like the other one better.

Here are both dresses:

The best quote of the night (By Leanne): "Leanne likes Suede, but Suede needs to stop talking about himself in the third person."

For real.

I'm already to the point of counting the minutes until Suede gets bounced so that we don't have to listen to the 3rd person thing anymore.

Good gravy, yes. Between him and the "licious" guy, I'm about to shoot the tv set.

I think Suede's dress actually fit the challenge more. It was supposed to be a cocktail dress for a young hollywood. Her fit was much better and the detail on his was slightly missing - v neck wasn't even.

Heck, we've already have two people start crying on stage - not the best...

Yeah. It's gonna be a long season . . .

But we're addicted nonetheless. LOL.

Now that I've finally seen the episode -- Tour de France is over, so my evenings are free again -- I also liked Kenley's dress better. I would wear it. But I'm in my 50s and the project was to dress "young" Hollywood, so Suede's dress did fit the bill better. And, it was cute, too, just not on an older woman like me.

Oh, absolutely. Plus it involved a lot more work. I can see where this was the winning entry.

Now, if he just only stopped speaking about himself in third person . . .
