I have also been practicing my song, a nifty Sephardic piece, and I just need to put the documentation together. Research has been done, but documenting any Sephardic piece is a challenge in and of itself. The reason for this is that, unlike the case of the Cantares de Amigo, which I performed back in September at Chalice, there are no documental records for them. This due to the fact that all these songs were passed on through oral tradition. Having said that, one can always make comparisons between the Sephardic language, which is a very ancient form of Spanish, and Medieval Spanish texts. That always helps.
