So yesterday I went to my first political rally since I became a US citizen. If you want to know, it was the Hillary Clinton rally at Manassas, and we had a blast. I must say, attending a political rally is something that one should do at least once. It adds to the excitement of the electoral experience. Being the compulsive voter I am, I highly recommend it.
The only drawback was the bitter cold, which did not deter any of us. ballistabob and I arrived about one hour early, and the lines were already hyuuuuuge and rapidly snaking around the building and getting longer by the second. Luckily for us, the cut for the people who got to get into the auditorium was two people behind us. The rest had to go to into the overflow area.
But the rally was awesome, and there were at least a couple thousand of us in there.
The best part? Sending my son, the Republican, a picture of me holding a "Hillary for President" sign via my cellphone = Priceless.
He nearly fainted.
Wow. This is like a Wrigley's commercial. Double your pleasure, double your fun. Not only I got to see my favorite candidate in action, but I got to mess with my kid.
Doesn't get much better than that.
I love parenthood.
