Sometimes, I just like to listen to the silence and enjoy the peace and quiet that comes after a hectic day.
I have almost finished brushing up the handout for my class on "Zen, Fitness, and the Art of Defence," for this Saturday's University. I must say, there was a moment in which I had my doubts about signing up to teach it since I wasn't sure that there would be enough interest on it. True, I had taught this class once upon a time, a long time ago, and to this day people still approach me and tell me that they enjoyed it very much. However, since the description of this class and Domynik's "The Rapier Athlete" sound very similar, I was wondering if attendance for both classes would suffer.
It appears that my fears were unfounded, as both classes now have a good number of pre-registered people. And since both classes are intended to be treated as Part I and Part II of a series, going from the general to the particular, this means that we have a chance of having a very successful mini-track.
Plus the fact that people are interested in hearing what I have to say warms the cockles of my heart. What else can I say?
By the way, the handout will be posted to my website over the weekend. And if you are planning on attending my class, I would recommend that you also sign up for Dom's. It will be a lot of fun.
PS. I am also teaching a class on how to run a rapier authorization. Come as you are!
