The first single, "Fake it" is terrific, and the guys are requesting from their fans to help premiere the video. Because of that, I am posting it behind the cut for those who would be tempted to watch and listen.
Having said that, I haven't had the heart to tell my Brat that I got the album.
Why, may you ask?
Because he says that I have ruined too much music for him. Nothing like Mom liking the same thing you do to make it uncool. So far, his biggest complaint is that I have ruined Punk for him, and now he doesn't listen to it anymore.
Well, he doesn't listen to it much. I guess he still likes the Offspring and Rancid well enough to continue listening to it despite his mother being a fan as well. (And I don't care for the Exploited, thank you very much, but the Dropkick Murphys crack me up.)
Like I have said before: Embarrasing your children = Priceless.
But at least we don't listen to the same rap.
Nevertheless, I have to say something about rap. El Brato likes Tupac Shakur, and I listened to him just because he insisted on it. (Oh, the things a mother will do!)
No, I still don't like Tupac, but I must admit that his lyrics are quite haunting and almost beautiful in a very warped way. I may not like him, but once you listen to him, and then you listen to Fergie, you realize that she sounds like a long commercial by comparison. (Although I do have Fergie in my Ipod, so sue me.)
But listen to Seether. They are absolute genius and this is a spectacular album.
