Playing Hookey

Good lord! I can't believe that I slept 12 hours in a row!

To make a long story short, yesterday I was feeling a bit under the weather. It started with the pressure in the chest and the funny tickling in my throat. Whenever that happens, I know that a bout of bronchitis is underway.

It's never a matter of "if," but "when."

And it usually happens in the Spring.

Oh, well.

The point is, I got a devil of a time getting home from work on account of almost falling asleep at the wheel. When I finally made it home, I ate a sandwich and took myself to bed for a short nap.

By the time I woke up, it was 10:30 p.m., and ballistabob was already back from practice. It took me about 10 minutes to take my makeup off, and went back to bed wondering if I would be able to go back to sleep. Next thing I know, it's 8:30 a.m., and Marcellus is kissing me goodbye cuz he's off to work.

My chest is still a bit tight, but at least I am awake now. I've spent most of the day in my pajamas and I've taken the day off. Hopefully, the bronchitis won't hit very hard, and I will be fine for Sapphire.

In the meantime, I am enjoying my day off, and planning on taking maybe another nap.

That, and lots of water.

Have you taken any Vitamin C, Zinc or Echanecia (sp?) yet? If not, do. And drink as many hot liquids as you can stand. You may not be able to avoid bronchitis, but these supplements make anything I catch last much less long. I hope it works for you!

Sleep is also very good. Your body's trying to fight. And hot whiskey. No bacteria can live in hot whiskey. =)

YEah, I started with the vitamin C. Always good stuff.

Hot whiskey purifies everything. LOL
